Am 22. und 23. August findet in St. Augustin bei Bonn die FrOSCon statt. Für mich wird es der erste Besuch bei dieser Konferenz sein. Das Programm wurde kürzlich veröffentlicht. Mit dabei ist auch ein Vortrag von mir: „Snappy Ubuntu Core“. Dieser findet direkt zum Start am Samstag um 10 Uhr statt. Im Anschluss folgt ein Ubuntu Phone Vortrag, der leider nicht von mir ist. Unabhängig davon sind einige interessante Vorträge dabei, die ich mir anschauen möchte....

Gestern habe ich mein insgesamt drittes Ubuntu Phone bekommen. Das Marketing-Team von bq war so nett und hat mir für zwei Wochen das bq Aquaris E5 Ubuntu Edition überlassen, was ich testen kann. Ich bin nun seit wenigen Tagen im Besitz des „Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition“, also nach dem „bq Aquaris E4.5“ das zweite Ubuntu Phone, welches allerdings zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch nicht käuflich erwerbbar ist. Heute habe ich ein kurzes Video aufgenommen, in dem ich ein wenig auf die Hardware und die Besonderheiten des Telefons eingehe. Obwohl ich eigentlich nicht dachte, dass das Video lang wird, ist es mit fast 7 Minuten doch länger als ich ursprünglich geplant hatte....
A few days back we announced the 9th Ubucon 2015 in Germany which takes place in Berlin. Next year would be the 10th Ubucon in Germany and we think, we can make something special! Back in March Costales asked on Google+ a few fellow „Ubuntu Phone Insiders“ (including me), what would we think about an Ubucon Europe. While most of the people said that it would be great, nothing much happened … until now!...
Vor einigen Tagen haben wir die Ubucon 2015 angekündigt, welche dieses Jahr in Berlin stattfinden wird. Durch die Planungen für dieses Jahr haben wir glücklicherweise auch schon einen Ort für das nächste Jahr so gut wie sicher. Nächstes Jahr würde die zehnte Ubucon in Deutschland stattfinden und wir dachten, dass es doch eine gute Gelegenheit wäre, die Ubucon deutlich zu erweitern. Bereits vor einigen Monaten hatte Costales auf Google+ an diverse „Ubuntu Phone Insider“ gefragt, ob eine europäische Ubucon nicht toll wäre, was von allen bejaht wurde....

I was a member of the organization team for the since 2013, but this year I am the head of the organisation team. We also started the „Call for Papers“. The main language is German, but we might also allow talks in English....
